Physical specifications and utilities
| Electrical supply | Approx. 380–415 V AC, 50 Hz, three phase; 60 Hz is a separate build option. |
|---|---|
| Power / connected load | Approx. 5000–9000 W connected load for preliminary planning. |
| Overall instrument dimensions | Approx. 850 × 850 × 1200 mm (W × D × H). |
| Instrument weight | Approx. 150–250 kg net. |
| Gross / shipping weight | Approx. 190–337.5 kg gross; estimated packing allowance. |
| Interfaces | USB communication port. |
| Lab requirements | Water supply and drain; hot water, water quality and plumbing capacity depend on order configuration. |
Dimension order and approximate values are stated in each row. Packaging data are separate from instrument dimensions and net mass. Approx. rows are preliminary engineering estimates based on comparable equipment and function/capacity; they are not verified manufacturing measurements or standard requirements. Installation and shipment are finalised against the approved drawing and nameplate. Estimate scope: base product / one unit; external computer, bench and auxiliary plant excluded.
Specifications, dimensions, and power requirements are approximate and subject to change without prior notice for continuous design improvements.
Product technical specifications and images may vary according to manufacturing conditions and applicable standards.
Test and configuration
- Measured output / function
- Print and garment durability after repeated washing
- Parameters selected for the method
- Load, wash temperature, duration and assessment method
- Verification points
- Temperature, duration and washing action
Listed methods are application references. Suitability is established by assessing the selected hardware, current method and calibration together.
Test parameters for the reviewed method
Values belong to the stated source edition. Test recipe, fixture and delivered instrument configuration are selected together.
CEN/TR 16792:2014 — informative Annex C · C.1–C.4.8; apparatus example only
- CEN/TR 16792:2014 informative Annex C example: single bath 55 ± 2 L, working volume 40 ± 2 L; side impeller diameter 150 mm, speed 560 ± 30 rpm. Settings 40/50/60 °C within ±2 °C. Separate spin/drying facilities required. This example is not an ordinary garment-wash performance test.
M&S P5 — August 2008 · Apparatus; Method; Drying; Reporting; Notes1–2; pp.1–4
- M&S P5 August 2008: about 40 L water to the full mark and a total 1 kg wash load; wash 15 min after adding specimens. A 40 °C care label uses 50 ± 2 °C; a 50 °C label uses 60 ± 2 °C. The 40 L and 1 kg are method loads, not verified machine tank capacity or net weight.
- The method specifies a separate spin-dryer for Durawash or Wascator MSB rinse cycles. Rinse specimens and makeweights twice with cold water; do not add water while spinning. A separate tumble-drying stage is required: hot setting for 90 min with fused components/motifs, otherwise until dry. The published “drying unit included” statement alone does not verify a PG-compliant tumble dryer.
- This P5 edition excludes knitwear, pleated garments and waddings. Attach components as in production; the operator compares appearance and accessory damage before/after washing under D65/UV where required. Do not equate P5, P5A and C15 recipes automatically; verify current edition and supplied accessories separately.
Control and recording specification
The following are method-specific software/recording requirements; delivered software modules are defined by the order scope.
- Method code and edition, specimen ID, operator and selected test parameters are linked to the record.
- The calculation and endpoint are defined by the selected method edition; instrument signals and operator assessments are kept distinct.
- Raw measurements, units, valid/invalid test flags and the reported result remain traceable.
- Calculations are checked against known inputs and an independent calculation; sensor channels are checked against calibration values.
- The P5 record tracks the 1 kg total load, care-label/test temperature, 1 min detergent dissolution, 15 min wash, two rinses and separate spin/tumble-drying stages. Fused-component selection links the 90 min drying branch and operator appearance assessment; supplied external equipment is defined by the order scope.
